I know this is a new blog, but I have decided to combine both my card blog and my layout blog together. It is called, Sketches! {by tamara} . Come join us!

Happy Monday!

So, School has been back in for one week here in Germany. We are starting to get into a good schedule with what needs to get done and I am finding time to actually get things accomplished again. And that includes scrapping.

I know that summer is starting to wind down for those of you in the states. And with that, the design team members from Sketches! should be able to start submitting layouts for the sketches again within a few weeks. Life just gets crazy and hectic, especially during the summer.

If anyone wants to submit layouts for me to upload with the sketches, just email me at scrapbooksketches@gmail.com and I can send you an upcoming sketch. I post sketches every Monday and love having layouts to help inspire everyone.

So another week is here. It is so crazy how time is flying by. School started today here and my daughter who is 6 started school for the first time. So it was a very busy day and that is why I am a little later than usual getting this sketch up.

August Sketch Contest/Challenge

Sketches! is having our very first contest. It will run from August 1 – August 31st. The winner will be announced on September 1st.

The Prize: A $10 Gift Certificate to the Scrap Freak Online Store. Scrap Freak is an online Scrapbooking Community. If you have not seen this site yet, I recommend taking a look. It is a relatively new place, but a very fun place! http://www.scrapfreak.com/

To Enter: You must complete a 12 X 12 layout using the sketch provided. Leave a link in the comment section to your completed layout along with your name. It is that simple.

I will do a random drawing and the winner will be announced on September 1st. The winner will have one week to contact me with their name and email address. At that time, if I have not heard from the winner, a new winner will be picked.

Would you like more than one entry into the drawing? Get all your friends and family members to also enter the contest. When they do, they need to say that YOU referred them to the contest. And then you both will get your names entered for their layouts. So the more people who you get to join in the fun, the more chances you have of winning.

Happy Monday Everyone!

I am getting very excited about our big announcement that is almost here. I am so bad at keeping secrets and waiting. I am so impatient. I really want it to be Wednesday already.

Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to give you a little clue about what is happening here. We are having a contest for the month of August. And what would be a contest without a prize? But you will have to come back here sometime after Wednesday to get all the details of the contest. It is going to be a lot of fun. I can't wait!

A lot of fun things are happening here at Sketches! Our Design Teams are about in place. This past week,we got a Yahoo Group set up for those that want to join in to chat. There is a blinkie off to the right hand side that you can click if you want to join us. And next week. Something even bigger will be announced. Don't you hate it when people do that? Mention they have a secret but they can't tell it to you? I know I hate it, and yet.....I am doing it to you. So Sorry! :insert evil grin:

I am sooooo very excited to getting back to the sketches. I was on vacation and while I was gone, I took my computer with me. I did not have internet access but was able to make some sketches. I was just itching to get back and upload a new one.

OK, Remember, this blog is a work in progress. So much I still want to accomplish. And I am such a perfectionist, that it will probably take me awhile before I say it is OK the way it is. :D

I was not going to post a new sketch until Thursday, right before I go out of town. But with the Holiday and some friends wanting to see the new blog, I thought I would add another one really fast. With that said, I will upload finished layouts from the designers as soon as I can.

I want to officially welcome you to Sketches! With Mulitple Photos. This is a brand new adventure for me and I hope that this will be a fun experience. Remember, this is new, and so there will be kinks that I need to still work out and additional things I will be adding. But I will never perfect things and get them just right if I don't start.

With that being said, Here is Sketch #1. I am also going to show you my layout that I did with this sketch. I don't know if I will always do that or not. But for now, I am going to share.
